The curious thing about Idaho

Idaho is a lot like Montana, I think. I don’t know because I’ve never been there, but I belong somewhere over that way.

Potatoes. Here’s the plan.

Addiction treatment in Sandpoint – probably not worth it unless targeting high end clientele, which could be a viable option for supporting other missions, but not sure how I feel about trying to help rich people get sober. I mean, I guess they deserve it just as much as poor people? lmao ok, so stigma goes both ways.

Coeur d’Alene = Newark – a few facilities but not much. Probably a decent amount of need. One option to address geographical limitations might be to develop a scalable framework that can be distributed online and via workshops.

I want to note here that I REALLY like Paul Wheaton’s permie’s badge framework and I could see something like that being a possible expansion point. On the more structured side, it can’t be that hard to get certifications for continuing education credits. A search for art therapy ceu’s brought up several associations that work with credentialing organizations so another possible distribution point. Diversify.

So there’s options for growth but also possibilities to just stay small and focus on a more refined population, maybe trauma & PTSD. I am not tied to addiction per se, although I do probably have the most confidence in my knowledge in this field. I have personal experience with mental health and trauma so those specificities interest me greatly as well.

I don’t know if my “recycle” framework will work in such a small area, but maybe worth a shot?

Sticking a few things here so I don’t forget them: Really nice clothespins, Why I can no longer tell people I don’t do social media, an unconventional soup I want to try, as soon as the deer ticks lay off for the season,
